Help Random internet disconnect

Ritsuke

Newbie
Whenever I'm on 3G - not Wifi - I get random internet disconnects. I'm using a new Samsung Galaxy Nexus which is not rooted and with Jellybean installed.

Chrome for example doesn't load pages and gives me a 101 error. Foursquare can't load because of data loss. Twitter has the same problem. In other words, it's not the program which loses connection but it is the phone.

I have a data subscription which worked fine on my iPhone and Nokia Lumnia so that can't be the cause. Something else is making my Nexus disconnect at random times. When I reload an internet page about 15 times it then loads half (no css).

Is this a known problem and what can I do about it because I do depend on my data to be working!

Today I've used the following setup:

- Galaxy Nexus, Mobistar microsim in converter
- iPhone 4S, Mobistar microsim

I've used both phones on exact the same location and did exact the same actions. The Nexus drops internet (ERR: connection_reset...) while the iPhone keeps on loading pages, Twitter, Facebook, mail, ... without the drops. I've then tried my simcard, using the converter, in a Nokia Lumnia where I did not get any drops either.

Maybe I can still be wrong and I do appreciate your help very much but I think I've ruled out the possibility this may be a simcard problem.

The only thing I can think of is the following:

- iPhone data symbols: E/3G
- Nexus data symbols: E/3G/H

I do not know what the H means, and I only see 3G very, very rarely, but could it be reaching out to a network/data standard which doesn't exist?!

Thanks in advance!

For those interested in how this ended:

My provider had sent me APN settings the moment I used my simcard in the Nexus. These APN settings had a login included which was filled in the moment I applied my received settings. That certain login caused the whole thing to crash every 2 minutes disallowing me access to the internet. Removing the login solved the whole issue.
