Help Random keyboard dead spots

Sometimes when I am typing on the stock keyboard, I will notice that some spots/keys are unresponsive. I resolve it by turning the screen off and then on again. It's a different spot every time it happens, which is weird. I use sms popup, and it seems that it happens when I am quick-replying quite often. But that could be my imagination since I use the quick reply feature way more than going into the messages app. Sms popup has also not been updated since way before this issue began. Not quite sure what the problem is

I have the stock keyboard, swift key, swift key x and swype. At first it was only with swift key but now it's happening to all keyboards I have

Me too. I don't want to call att tech support cause they will just tell me to do a hard reset. There has to be another solution

Im using Better Keyboard 8, paid, and I have the same issue occasionally.

I had the Swype beta installed and it made my phone act crazy. I'll never install it again. I'm on a LeeDroid ROM using the stock 2.2 keyboard and I notice dead spots on it from time to time but if I exit out of the text and let it save it as a draft, go to the home screen and lock the phone then unlock it and go back into the text app everything will be ok.

I don't have to go through that whole process just tip to landscape and back and it works again or switch to another keyboard
