Root random messaging alert?

Does anyone else get random messaging alert tone when there is no message or no unread messages? its driving me nuts!!!!:eek:
 
Yeah. I got one not long ago. I'm also not receiving any text messages, but I can send.

Virgin Mobile trouble?
 
My texting has been slow to send and receive but not issues with not sending or receiving at all. Possible they could be having issues!
