When you wake up your Desire using the power button, what lights up first - the buttons or the screen?

Also, does the firmware version affect this?

I am still on 2.1 and my screen lights up first, followed by the buttons a split second later.

I am using neophyte 1.7.1 mod & on that its the buttons first followed by the screen a split second later.

I'm sure I read this thread the other day...... Did it become a phantom thread like so many others??

Anyway, on mine the buttons light, then the screen. Using DeFroSt 2.5a which is Froyo though.

You did indeed! You're spot on though, it became a phantom thread! I thought I was cracking up when it seemed to have disappeared! I thought, for one scary moment, that I was dreaming about forums on the internet and imagining threads I had posted in!

My theory here before the admins decided to throw a hand grenade into the server room was that when running 2.2 the buttons light first, and on 2.1 the screen lights first.
