Did you verify that the version of Sleipnir you installed was the version that matched your carrier? Virgin Mobile for Virgin Mobile, Sprint for Sprint?

Did you verify that the MD5Sum matches? That's a requirement for anything you flash onto your device, not just a common courtesy. On a side note, the MD5Sum will almost always be corrupt if you're downloading it with your phone, using the stock browser, if the download even finishes with the stock browser.

Did you just switch over from another ROM? If so, as stated, you have to wipe /data before flashing a different ROM. You can easily restore it from a Nandroid backup, however, post-install.

And lastly, it's been reported a couple of times that freshly installing v2.4.0 is best, as opposed to upgrading from v2.3.9 or an earlier build. So, after verifying that the MD5Sum is correct once the build is on your phone, head into CWM, wipe the /cache and dalvik cache 2-3 times, make a Nandroid backup, then in CWM wipe the /data partition, flash Sleipnir v2.4.0, reboot back into recovery, and do an advanced restore from a Nandroid backup (which gives you a list of partitions to restore individually), and restore only /data, then reboot normally. You should be fine after that :)

I Did everything you said still no luck. I followed your guide when I installed the rom and I had the stock rom before I flashed sleipnir. It kept rebooting like 7 times before I could post this. It comes in like waves. It will keep rebooting over and over then it will be fine for an hour before it starts again. I had the rom installed before with minimal rebooting and now it dose it a lot. Thanks for replying fast:D

Try turning down the overstock, it sounds unstable. Go down a notch until it's not rebooting, use CPU tuner or CPU master. If that fixes it, set it to "set at boot" and your done.

Ahh I thought the same thing and already did but as I went to check I saw it was on performance govener. It should be on smartassv2 right?

You can use whatever governor you want, but smartassv2 is the most popular for the elite. Performance may cause some overheating issues and battery drain. Do you have it clocked down to stock? 1ghz.

smartassV2 is the default for Sleipnir. Unless you've changed it, it should be smartassV2 - it's basically both the Performance and Powersave governors in one, as it provides virtually-lagless performance, with supreme battery life. Also, if you have done everything aforementioned, then I second what sneaky_1 has said: try underclocking the CPU by lowering it down a notch from 1612 MHz, and use the phone as normal until/if reboots, then lower it another notch, and so forth until the phone becomes stable. Though there are plenty of OEs that can handle 1.6 GHz, there are some that are unable to. It sounds like yours may be one of those that can't, so try lowering it until it appears to be stable/no longer randomly reboots.

As low as it takes for it to be stable. Definitely stay away from performance because it just locks the cpu at the highest available frequency.

Any new apps that could be causing it? Have you tried other roms? Artine mentioned that he is uploading a new version of Sleipnir tonight, maybe you'll have more luck with that.

I haven't got any new root apps and how will I check the md5 if I can't use my phone. also I turned it to noop and still reboots.

Also, does it happen on stock? Did you try the unbricking method to return your OE to the Out of the Box state, and you're still getting random reboots? Because if that's the case, then I would say it's a hardware issue. If not, something else is going on.

It sounds like a bad flash to me. I'd go back to Artines original advice to verify the md5, wipe everything, and do a clean install. I'd say don't even restore data until you've booted it and everything looks to be running smoothly, that way you can eliminate as many variables as possible.

Also, I don't know if you've done this, but don't restore apps via Titanium Backup after installing a new rom, it causes problems. Use the advanced nandroid data restore, or reinstall everything fresh from the market.
