Just got the phone today and it works great and all but at random times it just reboots itself for no reason. Has anyone else had this happen?

That only happened the second day I had the phone. The only thing that correlated to the reboots stopping was me uninstalling facebook.

This was happening for me the second day as well. Since it was only the second day and I had barely installed anything yet, I did a factory reset and it sort of fixed it. It doesn't reboot randomly anymore but it does shut itself off sometimes even at full battery. I'm still deciding if I should exchange it and see if I got a bad one.

I've had it happen a couple times. Seems to be after I make some change to the phone like installing or uninstalling an app. Each time it came back up and said it needed to be activated. Rebooted again and the activation message goes away.

I had some rebooting when using GPS or Netflix during the first few days of use. I uninstalled Netflix (which I got from the market), and installed the one from SDA Forums, and since then, no reboots experienced.

Mine restarts while the phone is idle. It reboot quick after it randomly reboosts but then i hhave to shutdown all the programs that start up. It doesnt affect the phone just gets annoying.

Mine started doing that a few days ago. Always while sitting idle, then I'll hear the "virgin mobile" sound... When it's done booting, the sound is turned off. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Since the phone didn't do it right off the bat, I'm assuming this is related to software.... Either it's an app or an app update, OR a system setting set to accomedate an app, such as a refresh set a time interval.... Just a suspicion tho.

How did you get Netflix from the market? Nobody else can.

you have to use the xda netflix app.just do a quick google search for it.it should be the first or second link

oops missed the part where the other guy said he got it from the market

Ive seen this too. If trying to connect to a Wifi network that I am not a group of, the phone will try a couple of times and then reboot. Works fine for my "allowed" wifi networks.

I discovered this I was trying to connec to my work wifi with incorrect credentials...

Not a big issue for me...

this is happening to my home wifi. i'm guessing this is happening because the signal is weak and i'm far away. on my OV i could connect at the same distance

I had the random rebooting problem as well. After a few weeks of being rock solid (I saw 90 hours of uptime once, before i forgot to plug it in one night) it just started rebooting randomly all the time. I even had it reboot three times in one evening while i was watching TV. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out the offending app, and after getting frustrated I did a factory reset.
Since then, it's been up for 36 hours straight, with no reboots. Also, interestingly I've gotten the best battery life I've ever seen since then, with only the stock apps installed. Yesterday, sitting in my pocket for 11 hours at work and making 1 3 minute phone call, I was at 88% when I got home--1% battery drain an hour! today, after 3 short calls, and 2 texts I'm at 92% after 3.5 hours off the charger.

^^that's amazing battery life. i'm getting 3-4% drain per hour just sitting idle

I'm convinced that most apps routinely download or upload small pieces of data. Given how Android's battery useage meter works, I suspect that only the app itself counts for the app's power usage, the data transmission counts under the "cell" colum, dramatically pushing it up.

Driving home tonight, I was streaming Pandora over BlueTooth to my car stereo while using Google NAV. I've done so numerous times. Out of the blue, the phone rebooted. It hadn't rebooted on it's own for a few weeks. :(

I had a random reboot last night for the first time when I went to turn on the flash light app... I've had this app since I first bought and activated the phone on July 18th.. So no clue why it randomly rebooted.. makes me very very happy that I bought BB Black Tie protection plan because I keep noticing things slowly going down hill with this phone the longer I have it.. The camera focus seems to be slowly dying, the screen flickering gets worse and worse day by day.. I would highly recommend that people find some sort of insurance or protection plan for this phone.. My phone seemed perfect the first week I had it and now the problems just keep slowly showing themselves.. ugh

My reboots were software issues. Something I installed caused after factory wipe ok so far! Adding programs one at a time now to find the offender.

Netflix rocks on this phone, I am using the "Black" version with rotation from XDA forums.
