Random Screen flashing

My gf just go tthis phone and after taking it back once for really bad battery life, she is having troubles with her second hphone in the form of the screen tripping out and flashing. For her, it's usually when she either changes wallpapers, or uses google voice that the screen just starts flashing uncontrollably and she can't do anything about it (no haptic keys work) and usually it'll calm down on its own or she just reboots. Anyone else having this issue?

I briefly had an issue with the screen blinking off and on in the camera app, but that stopped after the first day and hasn't returned...
