Help random shutdown when playing audio files

oheris

Lurker
I'm wondering if anyone else has been experiencing random shutdowns when playing back audio files since the OTA. At fist I thought it was an issue with Doubletwist and Gingerbread, so I switched to the Amazon player. Same thing happens. Today it happened with the stock music player. My X just shuts down and in order to turn it back on I have to do a battery pull. Anyone else experience this?

I have had the same problem. Vzw replaced my phone with a refurb and it does the same thing.

Same problem here and I'm using MortPlayer. But I notice it only stops when being played through the phones speaker, not with headphones or bluetooth.

It happens for using the music App and google listen. I have only had it happen in the car using the headphone jack and while charging. I thought I was the only one!

Mine is doing the same thing. I am going crazy. I am on my second replacement in a week. It does it with any music application. Pandora, Slacker, Google Music, Sky, ect. It is doing it while playing through Bluetooth for me. I have also noticed the stock Internet browser is also using all the CPU and the phone is getting hot. I have lost track of how many times I have done a factory reset. I did it last night and only installed a few apps (standard answer from support). About done with Android.

Same thing happened to me, only when playing through car AUX input.... I uninstalled DoubleTwist, cuz I thought it was that app causing the problem. I always plug my DX in to my AUX when in my car.... very nice for taking phone calls on the way home from work. Major bug or something. Hopefully Moto will update.... WOnder if this is happening on other devices with GB???

The stock music player, as well as any other music players, will do this. It is not the physical hardware of the phone. It is an error within Blur. I got a log of a crash yesterday. It shows a whole lot of .blur.music errors, media scanning errors, ti.omp.mp3 encoder errors and then a kernel panic.
