Damn that is being busy. I usually only work Monday and Thursday, roughly midnight to between 10am and 12,Noon. Thinking of getting part time job if health will allow it.
When I sleep and take naps, and I do take extended breaks duration of writing, and deeply changing the storyline, as my brain either reaches in any critera that flow throughout time. If you are intrested of seeing a preview of it, I could drop you a link that is on here to give you the idea flow of I have.

But getting back to chicken @MoodyBlues, I make a delightful 'crust'. Pre shake n bake but actually similar. Roll the chicken in egg then seasoned bread crumbs and a medium drizzle of Italian dressing. Pop it in the oven and call it yummy.
I had the idea of Shake N Bake, but never mentioned it, thought it was like that, thanks for helping us out :)

I'm sure you do!

Do you think a 1962 episode, of a southern-set TV show, would have something like that in mind for 'chicken with crust?' The first time I noticed it, I just chalked it up to being a peculiar, southern way of referring to fried chicken. But the Taylors had fried chicken other times--and called it 'fried chicken.' :D Plus, I lived in the south (Florida, Texas) and never heard that. So it made me wonder.

Well, no...not in this lifetime.

I'm a reformed omnivore, AKA vegan. ;)

My parents were born and raised in Oklahoma. According to them, all meats fried with a breading had a crust. Perhaps an Okie thing. If it was just rolled in a seasoned flour mix it was thin crust and if dipped in an egg and milk mixture before the flour it had a thick crust.
I grew up with bub instead of bulb, far for fire, idee instead of idea, so crust makes sense. :)

Haha, I knew YOU wouldn't call it yummy but it really is. Grew up with it on the menu and still love it :p:D
It does sound good! Do you remember Shake 'n Bake's BBQ coating? It was so good! We used it on chicken, but I think it said pork chops, too. Looking back on it now, it just seems kind of funny--this pinkish-colored powder in a bag, that kind of resembled red Jello--but damn, when done baking, it turned into this fabulous, sweet, gooey sauce. :D

Oh, okay, so you're voting for 'just another name for fried chicken,' correct?

I guess it strikes me as weird because all the other times they had fried chicken, they called it fried chicken. The enthusiastic way Opie exclaims that it's Pa's favorite, chicken with crust!, makes it sound like a special treat.

Ole (oil) I never got used to.

Okay, I'll take your vote and file it away. :D

I'm afraid I do remember it as well as the regular shake and bake. I was never a big fan of either. I always belched the seasoning repeatedly after eating, Much like Harold Lindley's fish batter mix, they all tasted good but left an undesirable consequence.

I know it is a bit late, but here is one of the screen shots I took of my app drawer. :)

These really belong in the ADW thread, but what the hell?! :D

I see you're using the horizontal menu display of categories at the top; I prefer the side menu, which I find cleaner, and easier to use--no horizontal scrolling to get to my categories.

Being the organizational freak that I am, I have everything neatly tucked into appropriate categories:

Get your mind out of the gutter! :o (Mine's using up all the space down there. :D)

'eye_candy' is a name I've used for decades on my computers. They're directories containing icons, wallpaper, various visual enhancements I've downloaded for my desktop environment. So it follows that I'd have a similarly-named category in my Android devices' app drawers.

Here's this phone's current collection:

I was not thinking with my gutter at all, I have a huge collection of magical eye candy I used to store on my comp,

But as time went on by, discovered so much wall papers on my tablet and phone, so I do get the sensation of wonder throughout, not only magical wall papers, but as well as just how much pleasure I do get throughout artwork too. :)

I am not so sure on how I feel, after my cold and the wad of spit with my friends death, maybe it is really hurting me without realising it though, dispite on different ways, then when it can really balance it off though, the question is, what should I really pulled the plug out of my foundation in my basement of mind? Y/N

Speaking of movies from the last decade, over the holidays we watched "The Martian" which came out in 2015.

I thought it was pretty well done, but I was puzzled by a couple of things, maybe you can help me out.

First, I expected in the credits for them to show the pictures of the real people and not just the Hollywood people who played those roles as they often do in these kinds of films. I was kind of disappointed by that. Was anyone else bothered by that?

Also, it seems like I would remember a mission to Mars that had these kinds of problems, but while they showed some news clips in the movie, for the life of me I can't remember seeing or reading anything in the news or on the internet about it.

Anyway, those things aside, kudos to NASA and JPL for that daring rescue, and especially to Ares Astronaut Mark Watney for his creative resiliency throughout his ordeal.
Saw that movie a little while ago, I was bothered by that too, I do not know why does Hollywood does movies like these, like in Hidden Figures, that give credit to real people too, why not just have other people justify that way, and not be so caught up in the glamours style of Hollywood ? It seem different about that way, I do not recall a Mission to Mars at all. Kind of wonder what was going throughout their head ya know..

Thanks to KNBC's 4:00 news, I now know two things I didn't before:

1) The #1 weather-related cause of death in SoCal--what do you think: Lightning? Heat stroke? Flash floods? Nope: rip currents! :o

2) Yay for the Golden Globe Awards! They're going 100% vegan for this Sunday's festivities. :D

Stay safe if you're among the many enjoying our beautiful Pacific ocean, which has high-surf advisories right now, especially for west-facing beaches, and enjoy delicious, cruelty-free food. :)
