Okay I am pretty certain that at least half of the trucks park in the rest area where I am came from the same place I deliver a load roughly two hours ago:thumbsupdroid:

Sound like doing logistics in the US is much harder than UK, EU or China. Although I've heard that logistics in the EU can be harder now, because of Covid-19 border restrictions.

That explains everything.. thanks for sharing.... JK :)

I bet it's an interesting story....

I know my mum worked as a barmaid at The Kicking Donkey for a few years in the 60s. Because I can remember playing in the garden there and been in the bar when I was little.

I see this pub is actually on Trip Advisor. :)

My dad is 84 and he remarried about 5 years ago, and I already knew her son before my dad did

There's a German word for that.
Coincidence! I just came from another forum where someone posted that there was a German word for the thing we were discussing.

I finally found out from my dad on a two hour phone call last night, I was actually born in a pub. The Kicking Donkey in Ormskirk, Lancashire.
This is very cool.

New video, the sound of Crows.
Sounds like home to me. :) But they sound more like jackdaws...?

We have so many birds around here, we do not know what one does belong to another. :)

If @mikedt is free, well I am spreading my wings, becoming a dove.

Once upon a time in the 1970s, there was a very popular BBC sitcom called "Are You Being Served?", that was set in a London department store. And one of the main character's punch lines was "I'm free".

Apparently it is available in the US, on DVD from Amazon.

EDIT

Something I didn't know until a few minutes ago, they actually made a movie of Are You Being Served? in 1977.

Just ordered it, and now waiting in anticipation of the DVD arriving from Guangzhou.

BTW buying your videos and movies on physical media isn't obsolete just yet.
