Going under the knife in about 9 hours to reattach some torn ligaments in my right shoulder. Recovery is supposed to be not much fun.

All the best to my fellow andoidians. ;)

See you on the flip side!

Home safely (wife picked me up, no driving for at least a month!) and now the long road to recovery begins.

Speedy recovery my friend. I hope that you aren't in pain and if so.. it is under good management.

Just how long is the recovery road you will travel? My older sister had tendon surgery on her foot and it's been many weeks and she still has to keep her foot immobile.

My second convid vaccine shot was yesterday, all I got was a high fever, but it quickly died overnight. There is still a pinch in my arm for a bit, but it will go away :)

Changed the outer dressing today and snapped a pic before rebandaging. Molly is in the background to supervise. ;)

The smaller white areas on the anterior and posterior of the shoulder are where the smaller incisions were for the arthroscopic instruments. The bigger one in the center is the main access where she went in and split the deltoid (to work through it).

So far the pain hasn’t been too awful, and certainly not as bad as when I first injured it.

Are you in Boston @rootabaga cause that's some Boston level medical type tech.
Be aware, there is a downside to that. Sometimes it doesn't work but it hasn't killed anybody in quite a few score.
Opposite coast, Mr. B. The tech is everywhere nowadays. And there are always potential downsides.

Of course I don’t think I’d have this done if I lived in, say, Liberia or Somalia…in the latter I might have been hijacked, for one thing. ;)

I don't think age should be a determining factor. If one is short of balance or vision.. a bike should be left for another rider. I still ride and I'm a lot closer to seventy than sixty. :) It's a great way to exercise and definitely a green mode of transportation. Besides, there is something tranquil about riding and catching some rays.

What would it feel like.
I did an entire instantgram video of where my friends concert, went to a local bar, a few friends of mine gave me a local disc, to support other music, I was there around ten years back, maybe fifteen, and it was at that time, I got to shake my hands with some of the greatest though, too bad lost in touch with about everyone, still it is worth a great memory out of the blue too :)
I still can recall the voices that greeted me with something so sugar and nice too.
My mind has been in the past though, reclaiming into the future too, maybe I am allow it to once or a few times to talk with someone.
Eh, people reached me even on my fb when I was at my side occupation today :)
At least I need to give a number to my mother tonight and then they can talk with one another.

Downtown Crossing, 11am, one day before Covid-19 restrictions are lifted; At least 95% of people are wearing masks.
Some are just hanging off an ear or chin-diapered but they are there.
I've got to check this out tomorrow too.
