Just brought the neighbor's dog over, he'll be here until Sunday. They are having company (and another dog) over for Thanksgiving and poor Zeus was never trained or socialized so here he is.

It's a long and ridiculous story but I've been walking him for the better part of a year now and that's pretty much his training, rules/structure, socialization and general dog-ness all rolled up. He's a good boy and should've had a better family.

Back in late July when my truck was broadsided I had it towed to the body shop were I had previously done business. The tow truck refused to drop the truck off without payment so I drove my wife's 2020 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk to the body shop to pay them. In the process of backing up poorly with his truck, the tow truck driver managed to crease the back of my wife's jeep as the body shop personnel and I were screaming at the guy that he was heading for disaster. The tow company assured me that they would cover the repair. The back hatch that was creased was unrepairable and a replacement was on backorder. It became available to order late last month. Then came what seemed the run-a-round. The body shop would not order the hatch without a claim number and the tow company wanted to settle without filing against their insurance. I could see this entire transaction quickly going side ways. I'm relived to say that we picked up the Jeep today with it's $4,200+ new hatch and paint job that cost me no more than a lot of concern, many phone calls, and a genuine thank you to the body shop.

The loss of life that day and the event plunged the USA into the European and Pacific conflict with many more to follow. Lives lost on the battlefields is truly a terrible thing. Lives lost on the 7th... I have no words for.
