Nothing like starting off the week with a jury duty notice in the mail
It's been I think two years since I was summoned, so I have a year left. I had to sit through an "aggravated rape of a child" case. Not fun.Nothing like starting off the week with a jury duty notice in the mail

I haven't been called for jury duty in over 25 years now. It was sometimes before I was retired.
I was called a number of times but never served. Being self employed and often with an employee or two, if I served there would be myself and a couple more not working. If the trial lasted any time at all it would be devastating to me and helpers financially. Being away from a jobsite for any time would throw off a schedule that often had to be met. It just wasn't feasible to serve.
