I was out with friends (a married couple) this afternoon, & at one point, the husband put his arm straight out to point something out to the wife. Since my mind works in the weird way that it does, that instantly reminded me of a movie... So I made a joke about pod people, & they had no clue what I was talking about. I mean come ON, I've lived a sheltered life & neither of these two had ever seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers??? What is this world coming to?! o_O

I've never seen that movie.
 
I've seen both too, I thought the remake with Donald Sutherland was a lot more intense than the original - & I hated that horrible scream they did like in the clip I posted. I love old & new sci-fi!
 
Wow, I remembered Donald Sutherland is in this but I forgot who else... Jeff Goldblum & Leonard Nimoy?! Unfortunately I'll probably fall asleep before even getting very far into it.
 
Wasn't there three movies?

No... four! The original in 1956, then Sutherland's in 1978, then Body Snatchers in 1993 and one called The Invasion in 2007 starring Nicole Kidman.

These are all based on the novel The Body Snatchers by Jack Finney.

Then there's Robert Heinlein's The Puppet Masters and related movies...
 
OK northeasterners, lets get the shovels out one more time and get the Bunny Trail cleared off for the Easter Bunny next Sunday. The resevoirs are still frozen over so you can't put in a row boat to go after the Lunker Lakers (Lake Trout) starting Wednesday. Lets put that time to good use. :confused:

I love when I see these posts on FB: "So I smashed my old phone, got a new one, I don't have any of your numbers, please send your number to XXX-XXX-XXXX".

I just think "Hey, you had a smartphone, there's no reason for this......................"
