Haven't been posting as much the last few days. Just got back from San Francisco. Had a great time, saw some cool stuff, and now I'm back in town and not ready to go back to work tomorrow :( .

Following up my last post, while SFO was a fun city to VISIT, I'll undergo castration with a dull rusty spoon before I ever choose to LIVE in that city. Way too crowded, everything's expensive, and I have a burning hatred for public transportation. :p

You got a burning what, from public transportation?

Intake hose is cracked... probably the movement caused by my replacing the battery the other day was the final straw. Now got a handful of 'running too lean' codes and my mileage sucks even more.

New hose coming from Amazon for thirty dollars. Tomorrow, I'll break out the duct tape and patch it until the replacement arrives.

funny how some days I'm just on fire..everything goes my way easy breezy..then there are the days that I just can't seem to catch a break nothing seems to go right...I'm not sure what kind of day today is turning out to be...seems like it could go either way at this point...

Glad you're having a good day.

Reminds me of when I went to key west in a little puddle jumper
The pilot looked like a 80 yo total partier I sat in co pilot seat and he used a paper map
I was like

Um... Okaaay then:)

I imagine I looked pretty stupid. My phone did not like it there, the battery was usually drained by 1 or 2 pm, so paper it was.

EDIT: On second thought, as stupid as I probably looked, it was dwarfed in comparison by how stupid some of the locals looked.

Naw, man. Paper maps FTW.

I don't trust Google Maps, nor Scout. If I could get a map program to take the route I want and read it back to me as I progress, I'd be so much happier.

My parents were both born and raised in different towns along 66 in Oklahoma. Many of their relatives traveled the road, just like the Grapes Of Wrath saga, during the dust bowl days. ...desperate times/people.
Route 66 could tell a million stories. You needed no map back then. Everyone was heading the same direction.

How much does it cost after the initial 30-day trial? What in-app purchases are there? Frankly, I am leery of buying a navigation tool that has the potential to nickel-and-dime me to death whilst I am trying to get somewhere.
I just got through using it for about 2000 miles and my purchase point is just coming up - I'll ask.
