128MB wow!...think she'll need a larger USB thumb-drive for this job, 8GB of MP3s and PDFs. Didn't even realise people might still be using things like this.

I'm carrying a 32GB Kingston in my pocket, which cost me less than equivalent of $25 bucks, to replace a worn-out 16GB Sandisk Cruzer that had been in almost daily use for four years, for lessons and teaching. It doesn't mount half the time now, and on Mac or Linux it's gone read-only.

I've got one of the first 32mb Pen Drives. I can coax it to work at times on Linux.
I managed to collect quite a few. I have to transfer files to an offline XP box with crafting software. The Roku1,2, and 3 will also use them. Record OTA and convert to MP4.

The sizes were OK. I still have floppies with machine embroidery files on them. Even the most complicated designs were well under 1 mb. The designs themselves are just x,y coordinates that tell the needle where to sew through the fabric. It's the visual parts of the designs that take up the room.

Then you better back up what's there now-- it's on its last legs. The 512MB Kingston I have in my pocket is the fifth replacement I got back when they still had lifetime warranties (the original was 16MB, as I recall; replacing under warranty necessitated an upgrade). When it goes read-only or Windows says it's only USB 1.0, that's a subtle hint that the memory is beginning to fail.

Oh it's all backed up several times :) ...on the old Macbook at the moment, and external HDD, on my office computer as well. It's all lesson materials, ppts, docs, PDFs, video clips, a couple of suitable movies, e.g. Disney's Frozen with Chinese captions in 1080p is 2.1 GB, complete Disney's Magic English 26 episodes is another 1GB.

i just got in a fight er..more like had some words...with PETA...and I'm a member....so I guess I just fought myself!:) but seriously...I should have gone to law school but i thought it was a waist of money..which i still believe(for me)...maybe I'll just sit for the Bar...I'm 100 percent sure I would pass it with flying colors...hmmmmm...just...maybe... I will!

Well. My comment wasn't about tasty food but more about what a dangerous farce PETA is. None of my concern what people support or don't, I just hope their views are truly in line with the organization's views and policies.

Yikes!! No one should eat animals... I agree clementine.. We had a clash of ... Beliefs so to speak although they do great work and the issues need to be addressed and brought to the fore front .. I take issue with breed specific legislation which they support as a misguided attempt to "help"
I respectfully denounced my membership Ingrid herself wrote me a nice letter but
I can't in good conscience support such a flawed logic :)
Some people are sooo stupid!![emoji38][emoji13][emoji57]

Tell that to wolves, lions, etc...

Humans are designed to eat a wide variety of things, including animals.

I hold nothing against people who choose not to eat meat; but self-righteous people who commit vandalism in the name of their causes receive nothing but contempt from me.
Actually there is a difference, lions, wolves, tigers, can eat meat raw. Humans usually can't, and is often bad they try. ;)

But then cows and sheep can eat grass, but again humans can have difficulty with it.
