It's a long Easter weekend in the UK, we've got Friday and Monday off work. And two top notch movies to watch - Star Trek: First Contact, and The Shawshank Redemption.

Might be a bit more simple than what you're looking for but I have an app called Scanner radio. I use it for bad weather mostly.

May not help at all but ... anyway. Good luck.

Problem with apps is that they don't work if the cell network is down, which is the best time to have a working radio scanner.

I just received a new tablet, a Samsung Galaxy A... I have mixed feelings: it's going to be a lot faster than my reliable Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and has lots more room on it, but it's so darn BIG.

I mean, I knew it was going to be an 8" tablet (apparently 7" is no longer popular enough to modernize), but this thing is like an inch wider and 3/4" taller... definitely not going to fit into any pocket.
