Random Thought Thread

So I'm living with my dad and step mom. In about 6 months I'll be able to get my own apartment (6 months of saving) so I'll have 6 months of rent and all I'll have to is worry about utilities :thumbup::D
 
Been listening to a cheesy country album called "Ultimate Trucker Anthems" on Baidu.(cloud music is fantastic when you have a good unmetered internet connection.)

...got to thinking, what does the forum know about CB(Citizen's Band radio) slang? things like "Bear in the air", "Breaker 1 9", "What's your twenty?". And did anyone have a CB radio, I did. :thumbup:

Next week going to get Xilinhot Mongolian Middle School to blast out the neighbourhood with Teddy Bear by Red Sovine and Convoy by C.W.McCall on their loudspeakers.
 
My dad had a Citizen's Band radio, got the FCC Radiotelephone Operator's license back when that was required for CB.

I got a CB when I started doing long trips across the country, and now I have a Radio Operator's License, since I operate and repair radios at work.

I am very familiar with the slang, and such.

I keep getting messages and emails that say they are from people who have passed away...

One is a very good friend who decided to just "let go" so to speak ...when he could no longer walk or feed himself..etc....after a difficult battle with a very very aggressive and fast form of MS...I can't bare to erase our texts...I still look at our last words all the time...and:(:( ugh..

and the weird thing is I just got invited to a seance..that I am not going to because that stuff creeps me out!!!!!

On halfway the '80, with a huge (huge I tell ya) antenna on the roof. Although 14 was the free channel here in Holland.:D
