The clue is in the first word of the story where this thing will be mainly sold. Tacky gaudy flip phones like this are very popular with businessmen and government people. It's what you might buy when you're not quite rich enough to own a Vertu.

Note that it's got 32GB internal storage and SD storage as well, mainly because you can't rely on clouds in the PRC.

Personally, I prefered flip phones (my 'Star Trek' phones), because the screen was protected, and I could carry one in my pocket without butt-dialing someone.

...I would buy one, if it had these min. specs:
1080p
At least 64GB of Flash Storage
NFC
LTE A + LTE S
CDMA/GSM/UMTS/PCS
~20MP camera.
Can install CM or any custom ROM.
But other than that, I'd rather stick with a Nexus 5

I mean really, they're probably just for show and nothing else.

If I were to get a new phone. Probabky eould be a Nexus 5. Though I really like the samsung phones id probably have to just get a nexus.
