Lol don't know anything about business.Get a job in Inner Mongolia, teaching English. ...or start your own business in China.
I thought the interview went well, but when I came home and checked the status of the application, says no longer considered...
What am I doing wrong. Why can't I get a job? The interview could not have gone any better.
What state do you live in? That might be a factor. Also can you script the entire interview? (as best as possible)
Illinois
We greeted, he had a packet of about 5-6 questions. Asking from, what have you done when a customer was upset, when can you work, are you a team player and things like that.
I think the reason I did not get hired was because of my schedule, I said I can work from 3 - close. That's probably too late for them, or not good enough. I answered all his questions the best I can, and he seem pleased with all of them.
Do you think that would be alright? To call a manager and ask why I didn't get a job? And should I still send a thank you letter? I mean the guy was really cool. I get it if they close early and he needs someone with a better schedule.I agree with your assumption. I live in Texas, and out here they're closed by 7:00. Really the majority of phone companies I see close around 6-8 pm and sometimes even earlier on weekends.
You could call that manager and ask, I'm sure he'd be happy to let you know.
Yes it's legit...it sounds like a contract house where you will actually be their employee and they hire you out to companies looking to fill a position. It can be a short term position or a temp to hire position where you are a temp employee until the company decides if and when they want to hire you permanately...there is usually a contract with the placement firm that you part of your salary goes to them for a set amount of time....( you can always negotiate the salary as they have flexibility in what they offer you....the less you make...the more they make) for example...the company hires them to find an employee for a position...they pay contract house say 15 hr...so contract house will offer you 12 and pocket the remaining 3.....so it's best to negotiate a higher amount because of course they will low ball you as it's in their best interest to do so....it can't hurt to check it out...you can always turn down an offer....however ...In your case I would really keep trying on my own as well..My Co-Worker told me to apply to Chase Professionals to find a job. They are a staffing solutions that if I were to take my resume there, they could help me find a job, and if I am offered a position, they will take maybe $0.50 / hour of my paycheck for a year or so. Making like $12 - 15 an hour, that's not a bad deal.
Can anyone confirm what this is and if it's legit? Don't want to drive that far out there unless I know it's legit.
Thanks.

Alright I'll see..YES!!! and YES!!!
I am looking to gain experience in the tech industry. I'll think about it, but I been looking at what they have and it seems that all the jobs they offer need experience with the related job description. I'm looking for an entry level tech position.Yes it's legit...it sounds like a contract house where you will actually be their employee and they hire you out to companies looking to fill a position. Alright I'll see..
Should I send like a hand written letter to him?
Am I the only one who likes going to the dentist?
email is fine....when I was younger I remember at least twice...I wasn't hired for a position and then 2 months later the hiring manager called me back and offered me the position because the person they hired didn't work out...and I made an impression...so ALWAYS follow up no matter what!!!
and Yes you are the only person who likes to go to the dentist!
also internships are a great way to get your foot in the door!!! I know many are non paying....but I know dozens of friends who did internships and snaggged a job at the company they interned for after college graduation!

I can't really intern anywhere because I am still new in school. Only a freshman, maybe later down the line I can, but now I can't.
Who do I email? He didn't give me an email for him or anything.
I also just got the email saying that I did not get the job.![]()
