Finally got to see the Queen's Christmas day speech...Merry Christmas ma'am :D ...from your loyal British subject, in your British Empire far and wide.

I feel like I should get a credit card now, but also feel that in 25 years, it won't matter anyway.

I should get one.

Happy new year everyone!!

If you have good fiscal discipline, then I would recommend it. I got one from my bank about 2 years ago now and use it solely for gasoline. I pay it off immediately so that I don't have to pay a dime in interest. Nice little way to help out the credit score, which helped me buy my car. I had a 749 credit score when I went to buy it, which really helped. One irritating thing was that the dealer got upset at me after I called them on some blatant lies and they ran several hard inquiries after the fact and put my credit down to the high 600's. Hopefully it's gone back up after making my payments for a year now.

If gas prices stay this cheap there won't be any electric cars to buy. The short memory and attention spans of Americans are truly amazing. Already with this recent drop in gas prices, big truck and SUV sales have soared and they can't give the smaller, fuel-efficient cars away. Guess people think gas will stay cheap forever lol. SMH

Not forever, but for a while anyway.... Thank your superiors for the fracking. C'mon, timing is perfect. I can now fill my Super Duty work van BEFORE that annoying $75.00 shutoff and, I can make a daily driver out of the Dodge Ram that was damn near given to me months ago because nobody would buy it.

Loving the cheap gas while I can get it. I'm jonesing for a Ford F-350 though :(

On an unrelated note, this going to be a good year for any Disney shareholders. A very good year indeed.

I enjoy school; but I have a full-time job and a spouse who jealously hoards my spare time. I have one last class this semester so I can finish out an associate's and I'll be done until I stumble over a winning lottery ticket and retire.

Stop talking as if its for only a week. Go get yourself a truck ;)

Ram still needs repair. Just knowing that soon I will be exiled from the slightly fuel friendlier minivan is good enough for now. Despite the size of a caravan sport, I still feel like I'm sitting in a Prius

Doubt that. I doubt that gas prices will stay this low for much longer, either, though it would be nice if they stabilized under $3

All its going to take, is a couple of wrong words in the wrong place, and the middle east will kick off again causing prices to jump up and up...

I've been told that they are waiting for the American oil companies to find the bottom line, and eat each other. I think that is already happening to some extent.

Then OPEC will deal with the survivors.

Before we get into a debate on oil and its impact on the economies of different regions of the world and then start calling some regions radical, blah, blah, blah, then the whole random thought thread is in PCA lets start talking about something else like...

...ooh, a squirrel...
