Down sizing.

Giving my few month old LG G3 to my son for his Gr. 7 grad.

Looking at a Sony Z3 Compact or something like it. Sub 5" screen for sure. Was considering the Samsung Alpha but heard battery life was not that great.

Costco has a great promo.
The Moto X is a great option... I've heard pretty good things about the Samsung Avant too. Actually there's some really nice 4.5" to 5" options these days. I personally don't like anything beyond 5.5" as I'm a one hand operator kind of guy... Not to mention in my mind a "mobile" device should fit in the pocket comfortably. (without fear of screen fracture because of tension or twisting etc)

Went with the Alpha. $19 on a 2 year and $100 in Costco credit. $80 in pocket which paid for an Otterbox Symmetry and screen protector with money left over.

On an excellent new plan as well. Unlimited calling, text, picture msg and 15GB shared between 3 phones.

Might have to find a fake Yorkshire, maybe from Beijing. Plum pudding is no problem, plenty of plums, but no Yorkshires.

Taobao?

Don't really fancy eating Pink Floyd CDs or knock-off sneakers.

This, my friends, is some quality farmland.

It's been languishing in my "swamp" cooler since last summer.

Yes, I should be more conscientious about maintaining it, but, whatever.

My point is, this is but a portion of the dust my cooler collected during summer last year.

We had quite a few dust storms, something I'd not seen here since I moved here back in the late nineties.

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Louisiana State University .

On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee, inspected the elephants foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot.

The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter could not help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn't the same elephant.

This is for everyone who sends me those heart-warming bs stories.

Forums without rules, or that don't enforce the rules, end up devolving into rampant flaming and trolling. Can be fun for awhile, but most people get turned off by being shouted down and insulted. Good luck on your date, Wolfie!
XD at the moment the forum is filled with people that were banned from another forum because they weren't PC enough. So at the moment if you don't mind Non PC humour it's great.
I'll probs very bored of it after a week though.

And thanks :)
