I agree, the answer to all questions asked today about the future can be truthfully answered, after 1990.
Taking risks can be overrated.
But playing Risk is another thing altogether.

Actually I think the reason I don't like Risk is because you have to be mean to other players to win, I don't like games like that. My kids still laugh at me for taking all the Sorry! cards out of the Sorry game when they were little

You take risks every day, driving, flying and etc. A board game should be a breeze. Go wild take a chance, you will not get hurt playing Risk, you may even win. Go ahead be risky.
