How does one go about building a lego model like this? It seems to have a lot of parts which aren't off the shelf standard lego bricks.

There's a lot of compatible studded interlocking building bricks that aren't made by Lego®. Perhaps that's what he used.
And while I'm on the subject of Lego and Zootopia today, How long did it take to build this?

My knee brace started squeaking today. It's seriously annoying! Every step I take it squeaks. Every step! Good thing I don't have to wear it all the time now but really, it's annoying!!

You know, some days I think to myself, what the hell are you doing? You're just another troll, pretending to know something.
Then, from out of nowhere, I get a reply to an answer I gave back in 2014, where the poster said that they joined just to thank me for saving their device from being thrown straight into the trash bin.
Then, reading backwards through the thread, I see several people saying the same or similar things... Mine was actually the second post in the entire thread.
It appears that I actually do know things... or at least I had a good answer once upon a time.
