Cubbies WIN. Quite a game!
Quite a Series!
After the Indians clinched I really thought they were going all the way, not pulling for them but thought they'd win. I really hoped the Cubs would pull it off and am happy they did. Both teams played their hearts out and it was really one of the best Series I've seen. I, like a lot of folks, am a bit tired at work today.

"Someone once said, that sports is the only really good television; Because no one knows the ending.......Not even the players."

A shiny nickel to any of my friends who recognizes the quote.......And sinks low enough to admit they know the origin.:D

Pete Rose?

Even as I wrote it, and hit "send" I realized..........."It's a quote of a quote", could be multiple right answers.......I'm asking people to guess where I heard it.......unfair, uncool.

(Still fun, though.):p

In my little universe, not Pete Rose, but still a very good answer; I can definitely imagine him saying it.

(And Pete Rose isn't sinking low to associate with, the man deserves respect)............Think lower for my answer.;)

My Cubs were out-everythinged in game one... it's just a ruse.

Told ya! 1908 + 108 = 2016!

Yes, it was. The kid is happy. I would have loved to hear the explanation she gave her English husband who doesn't quite understand baseball.

They should not have brought Lester in. Isn't he the one that has trouble throwing to first?
Wild pitch that gets the catcher?
He's won a few, but the pressure on a reliever isn't quite the same as a starter.

Kershaw or Bumgarner he isn't (both very effective as closers in tight situations). Arrieta might have done better for one inning.

I don't understand baseball, I understand cricket better. And neither are played here.
