Root Randomly not mounting sd card in system or CWM? Seems to happen after crash

Long story about what's going on,
I had to get my first triumph replaced about 2 weeks ago. I had backed it up with a nandroid and titanium backup. I procceded to install the nandroid backup on the new phone. Everything went well for a while untill one day when the phone just shut itself off. When i turned it back on, there was no sd card mounting notification, and it said that there was no sd card in the phone. CWM recovery also wouldn't read it. After having done random combinations of repartioning the sd card, formating the sd card, using a different sd card, unrooting, factory restoring, i seem to be able to get it to work for a little. What happens, however, is that after i restore from nanadroid or titanium backup it works for a little, then turns itself off again and the card wont mount! This is really starting to suck any help is apperciated.

Few updates since I made this, I installed CM7 starship and bkernel, and it worked for a little while, but after i had restored my apps with titanium backup, it crashed, rebooted, and now it won't read any cards again :( I am literally pulling my hair out at this stage.
Thanks,
A guy pulling his hair out. ._.

Pull the SDcard and recheck for stability.

Once the phone stops recognizing the sd card I don't seem to have anymore crashes or anything. The phone just doesn't seem to believe the card is in :(

I would backup the SDCard and format it and see how it acts. Sounds like a bad SDCard.

I have backed it up multiple times and formatted it. FAT32, default allocation size, both quick format and not-quick format.

Also I have tried to use another sd card. The phone doesn't see it either.

Could be a bad SDcard port too. I would try to run the phone withour the SDcard for a day and see if it's related to the SDcard. After that I would try to trace if it's the card or the slot.

Thanks for all the help. Right now I am restoring from a nandroid backup. I think it may possibly have somthing to do with playerpro or some other app. I looked up playerpro and it seems it HAS caused some people to spontaneously reboot. Fingers crossed!

I had this same exact problem and had to get a new phone. The problem is not an app, its in the phone itself. Virgin sent me a brand new triumph not a refurb either.

Still not working...I think virgin mobile is sending me a replacement now. It has to be the phone because I have tried 2 different cards and I have formatted both of them and done factory resets and what not :( hope this next phone works right lol.

Try to be persistent in requesting a class A replacement, they like to say those are only available within the first 30 days of the warranty but if you're forceful without being rude it usually works. The normal class C replacement is usually someone else's problem that was returned.
