Help Randomly not receiving text messages

I had this issue with my HTC Thunderbolt intermittently starting in March 2012. Now I'm starting to see this issue on my GN2. The problem is that I am missing inbound texts form different phones on multiple carriers. I've had problems at home and when traveling for work. I temporarily removed GoSMS but the issue remained. I have opened multiple tickets with Verizon T2 and have yet to find a solution. The are now telling me that the "network team" shows the messages delivered even though I am telling them that they're not. Have not had an issue with outbound texts (that I know of). I am FRUSTRATED to no end and am considering switching carriers.
 
I have had this happen to me a few times as well on my Note 2.
My daughter will text me and I will recieve the text hours later, and sometimes not at all.
I have AT&T, so since we have different carriers, I am not sure a switch of carriers will help.:(
 
I may be totally out of order here with my Motorola Atrix 4g, but I had thee same issue around February this year on the ATT network. I addition, I was receiving absolutely NONE of incoming texts. Curiously enough, outgoing texts were completely fine; verified by texting common family plan member, another ATT user, a Verizon user, a Sprint user, Twitter by text, and emailing myself by text (i really wanted to figure this out :p)

I refused to contact ATT knowing they'd just spend 2hr with me bs' ing around.
I searched various websites for solutions, motorola related and not.

Sadly, I found no solid explanation, and resulted in factory reset.
Upon reset and power up, ALL my texts came rolling in.
It is possible your carrier support is misleadingly reading to you that your outgoing texts have all been "processed"and then translating that your incoming is also sent successfully? Just speculation...

Anyhow, 2 months so far and no issues...
Would a factory reset be an option for you? I figure this may be the most quickest to a possible resolution...

Good luck, I understand how irritating this kind of stuff can be, seeing how locked down the OS is.
 
Hi guys! Ah, interesting you have had similar issues on AT&T as well.

After multiple missed texts on my Thunderbolt I started monitoring my text log online regularly. That's how I know exactly which text messages my phone did not receive. Verizon T2 told me recently that there is nothing more they can do since they show that the messages processed. I am not very happy about that because yeah, I can see that myself by logging into my account. Thanks for nothing!

I am considering a factory reset now even though it did nothing to resolve the issue on my Thunderbolt.
 
Anyone? Anyone else had this problem. This is beyond frustrating!! Happened again today. Verizon support is useless. Guess its time for a hard reset. Low expectations.:( Argh....
 
Previously had this problem with my Samsung Charge, ended up installing the app Ghostly SMS which took care of the problem. No problem so far on my Note 2.
