Root [RANT] CM6 vs Fresh

CM6 does not have update prl and profile since it is based on original froyo rom not any htc release. If you want this, do a nand backup and flash odex stock evo rom, update profile and prl then restore nand

Man, the more I hear about CM from you guys that have run it, the less I actually want to use it.

It sounded better than the second coming of Jesus before I started hearing about it, but reports from its users are making me pretty happy I'm on Fresh.

I'm just starting to become displeased with the entire selection of roms available. HTC's stock Sense included. Thing is, I like the things about Sense, like the dialer is nicer, the contacts look nicer (not the icons though). But I'd like to have a dock at the bottom like ADW or Launcher Pro AND keep all my sense widgets. I'd also like my 4G too. I find that if I'm running a sense rom and put Launcher Pro or ADW over it, it slows the phone down a lot.

I dunno, I guess I'm still waiting for that perfect rom and cm6 to me is no better or worse than any of the others out there right now.

I am running fresh 3.2, and launcher pro unlocked for the dock and sapphire theme, underclocked and have had no issues with my evo being the least bit slow, at least nothing i didnt notice when it was stock

Menu>Apps>Manage apps.
Tap the "All" tab at the top, second from right.
Scroll down to HTC Sense.
Tap Sense, scroll down, tap Clear defaults.
Now hit the Home button and a pop-up will ask you to choose a launcher. Launcher Pro will be one of the options. If you want Launcher Pro to be your default launcher, check the box at the bottom of the pop-up.
