Yes, precisely. DirecTV simply works for me. And I can't overstate how important it was to me when I was living in the Dallas area...
For one thing, we somehow
managed to get the national feeds, east and west, of CBS, NBC, and ABC--which meant I could watch my hometown local channels 2 (KCBS), 4 (KNBC), and 7 (KABC). What a relief from the moronic Dallas channels. 
And then there was NBA League Pass and NFL Sunday Ticket. The NBA one was most important to me. It let me see every Lakers game as if I were here (LA), watching on its local channel. That meant seeing all 82 regular season games, plus playoffs, called by the inimitable Chick Hearn. I don't know how I would've survived without it.
Today, I have access to Amazon Prime and Netflix--but NEVER use them. All my TVs are smart TVs, but they're all connected to DirecTV and that's that.
DirecTV gives me rock-solid performance, more shows than I could watch in 10 lifetimes, and when I've had occasion to contact them, stellar US-based customer service. I simply have no desire to switch to something else. It ain't broke!

in an Eleven hour drive shift I drove 54 miles, 
. I normally drive or try to get 500-600 miles a day if I am running a load over a thousand miles.
Yesterday load was three hundred and some change in Miles could have have it done it 5 hours six weeks if I had decided to stop
However a mechanical issue with the trailer through a monkey wrench in the plan

Bad tandems on the trailer ,(the tandems are the wheels on the trailer,) you can slide them back and forth to adjust the weight of the load . A lot shippers and consignees like to have the tandems slid all the back for safety for the crew unloading or loading the trailer.
Yesterday I got a trailer with a really bad tandems .I spent an hour trying to resolve the problem .
Finally I had to take it to truck stop to get it repaired. By the time the repair was done I barely had three hours I could work with.
I could have driven 2 hours and used the last hour to try and find parking
Or stay at the truck stop which had a lot of parking. So I stayed.
Another thing was I had all day Saturday to deliver the load

Lately my moto has been giving me small electric shocks every once a while.
I will really get the new phone as soon as possible, thinking of the Galaxy s20 if it is on sale.

I managed to get a great deal on a new iPhone, and my bill is less than what I paid Sprint (though I was using a pay-as-you-go plan for the Samsung phone).
So, what about Android?
Yes. ACL A775 Nougat phone will get root/bootloader/ROMs - so, it is time to create a phone via F-Droid and XDA.
It’s a sickness.
My, my my. So, what about the Walled Garden?
We shall see. But even mentioning that reminds me how screwball the data game has become.
Oh, brother... stay safe, and don’t quit taking your Hydrochloroquin (ah, jeez, shut him up!).

Walled garden is exactly what it is, e.g. if the govt and Apple says you're not allowed to have VPN apps. Then VPN apps are off-limits. That's the main reason why wouldn't touch an iPhone or an iPad with a barge pole.

Speaking of Dish network, my Joey, the little dvr, got over headed to a point on where the photo keeps on flickering when plugged in, it got a static that is green with the symbol of it, and just went flickering on and off too. I tried troubel shooting for a long time yesterday. Still I do not want to spend another dime on getting a new device though, it has been unplugged since around 8 p.m. last evening, so letting it cool down forever now.
Dish network... Sounds like it's a cookery channel.

Still after three days unplugged, and letting it cool down, the device will not work at all.
At least I have my billions of dollars to have to get it a new one.

Okay so the dish person was over just barely a spell ago, he hooked up everything right, I could only watch Looney tunes for about five minutes, and flipped through channels fine, no DVRs can be selective at will at all, the timers usual on the guide will say "1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m." when viewing live tv, but it is now on a 24 hour loop, but the system is still learning on my new joey, fresh out of the box too. So I should wait until it comes back on but I am streaming my adult swim shows on my tablet.. find it funny how falling towards new techno advances like this.

Problem fix, I just had to reset it. Everything is pretty good with it, now to get to know the remote a bit better
