Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I can't handle people being late for every single appointment. But today... Today is Be late for something Day.
Modern living and society puts incredible pressures on us to meet challenging deadlines, observe rules and regulations, and to regulate our lives by tight schedules. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just stop for a little bit and see what happens?

Be Late For Something Day encourages you to take a step back from your schedule and intentionally be late for something – remember that things can go on without you, and maybe it’s not all quite as important as you thought; after all, you need some ‘me time’!
 
So I got today off, which is great considering it is tax season.... But it's because I'm feeling like garbage.... Friggin cold.

I think he mentioned somewhere around Pine. That is in a heavily wooded area in the foothills (if there hasn't been a recent fire) . Big hills and low valleys don't seem conducive to cheap internet.
 
People who come to a complete stop at the bottom of a ramp entering a freeway/highway/etc.

People who speed up & try not to let you enter the freeway/highway/etc. even when you're going fast enough to easily merge. Today a guy in a pickup did that to me, but he didn't realize that although I'm not an aggressive driver, I'm an assertive one & I WAS going to merge into his lane so he needed to back the HECK off! :mad:

Looks like I found a way. Just have to disable Superuser in the SuperSU app. I'll try it tonight at Mickey D's.

I understand...that happens frequently to me on I-495 here in the DC /VA/MD area.

There have been several times when I have been coming off of Braddock Rd on to I-495 where some Idiot has come to a complete stop, and almost caused a chain reaction multi car accident.

Also there have been several times that somebody has refused to let me merge, when coming on to I-495. One actually forced me to stay on the ramp, and completely circle back. Honestly, it was either that or trade-paint with the jerk that wouldn't let me into the highway.

{sorry for the wandering rant...it just hit a nerve}

2. I hunt to put food on my family's table so leave my squirrels, Turkey, and Deer alone!
3. We have children and they along with their friends play and explore on our land!
If I know someone and they ask for permission, I'll give them written permission for specific dates so my kids know not to play in the woods.
We post signs along our property and are friendly with our neighbors.

That's all I have to be pissed off about today lol

I spent this morning posting more signs around the property. I also put out a few extra trail cams, so I can try and catch who keeps hunting on our land.

Ugh, I feel for you!!
Unfortunately, I feel like it's some of the doofuses who don't want to let people on the highway, that are causing other people to come to a complete stop on the ramp. Today I was actually out of ramp & driving on the shoulder in my Honda Civic sedan, but when I decide to merge - I find my spot & merge, so that idiot wasn't going to stop me. :cool:
 
Colorado had to put up "continuous lane ahead to keep the idiots from stopping.

Didn't work. No one knows how to merge either way. Won't move over or speed up/slow down.

If they are going to put ads on, they need to let people rate the ads like movies. I've seen some that I wouldn't want on a kid's phone. Send all PG rated. I don't have many apps with ads, but I did have one app (forget which one - probably deleted it) that put up an ad for an escort service.

If you your Android phone is Rooted, I highly recommend

Got in car accident in June, other party gave me the runaround & I finally submitted a claim to my insurance in July. Got my car fixed about 3 weeks ago & informed my insurance co. right away, since I had to pay my deductible of $500 & I want it back as soon as possible (other party was completely at fault, she rear-ended me).

Today I called my insurance company since I haven't gotten a check & haven't heard anything. They didn't even start a claim with the other parties insurance, & the guy was suggesting I should call the other insurance company - although he finally called them with me on the phone so at least now there's a claim started with her insurance.

I don't have a fly-by-night insurance company, but they seem like idiots. I've called them a couple times throughout this process, each time I talk to a different person on the "team" - but nobody seems up to speed on anything. Grrr..... o_O

**cross your fingers that I'll even get my deductible back**
 
People who refuse to let you into the left lane, even though they clearly see your left turn signal, realize that you need to move into the left lane so you can make a left turn.

Not sure if I want to keep this job up, for one, it's far too American for my liking, and two, it really is like herding cats.

I usually teach middle and high school, and a friend suggested I try Pre-K as a part time job. I've done two classes so far with Best Learning, having second thoughts about it now.
