Razr M water damage

A few weeks back my Razr M was submerged in rushing water for less than a second. I quickly retrieved the phone, dried it, removed the SIM and SD cards, and used the old rice trick. The phone worked without problem until two nights ago, during a very heavy rainstorm. The phone was not exposed to the rain. The phone started to have issues with recognizing the SD card then it apparently reformatted the SD card (which I have backed up, so not an issue).

I have 2 questions:

1. Is it possible that the moisture in the air during the storm caused the phone to act all wonky due to the phone being in water?

2. How many water damage indicators are on in this phone, and where are they located?

Thanks.

i bet that is very possible with moisture. it likely needs to be dried longer. the sd card might need more time in rice or a warm dry area.

many times there are two indicators. sometimes even the battery has one.

Hmm.

I left it in a bag of rice for almost 72 hours. I will try the dehumidifier, but am leaning toward an insurance claim. That or moving to New Mexico!
