Rdy 2 Ride

Great looking bike!

Broke mine in the same way, first valve adjustment at 16,000 miles and within tolerance. Second one coming up in a few weeks.

Only bad thing about my CBR it's been a oil burner since day one. I'll use about a half quart of oil on a hard 500 mile ride.

Got a recall notice from Honda to get the crankshaft replaced and a few clutch parts still debating if I"m going to have it done.

Here she is...

OK, front brakes all taken care of, but still have a grinding sound sometimes. Figured out what it is, though. Looks like the arm that keeps the rear brake caliper from rotating is missing a bolt, so the caliper can spin around. Not a huge deal, but the arm falls down and drags on the rear rotor. Just need to get everything lined back up and stick a new bolt in there, and should be good to go. Engine still rips, though!

And yeah, Honda FTW!

21 inches of snow in Oklahoma? Good God what a nightmare winter you guys must be having down there! The 2 years I lived in Oklahoma we never got more than an inch or two of snow. More often than snow, we just got ice from it raining while almost freezing, then that God aweful wind coming through and turning everything into ice.

got it this winter, broke a bunch of records....when the contractor isnt working (so im not inspecting); im on the group of volenteers that has to come in and use our state vehicles to follow around the road clearing equipment for safety....i was the only guy to make it that day from my office....lol....my truck is a one wheel wonder old work truck; dont know how i made it....it sucked bad.

"Owasso was one of the hardest hit Tulsa suburbs, receiving an official 21 inches of snow."

(sorry for the off topic op).

Well I can vouch that Oklahomians do NOT know how to drive in the freakin snow/ice to save their life. I was constantly driving to my girlfriends house in McLoud which was about 45 minutes north of Tinker AFB where I was stationed. And I remember when it would snow a little bit, or when the ice was forming, I would slow down about 10 or 15 mph, and I was in a front wheel drive vehicle that was really good in those conditions. But practically nobody else on the road would even slow down to do the speed limit. They would be passing me left and right. Then I'd watch them zoom up the road a ways, and eventually spin off the road.

I'm talking about seeing this happen dozens of times on my way to my girlfriends, and on my way back. It was so ridiculous. I couldn't believe how inept those people were at handling bad weather. I never saw a salt truck or a plow. All I saw were people in 4x4 trucks driving along the interstate charging people $15 or $20 bucks to pull them out of the ditch they'd just spun into. I swear you'd make a killing down there in the winter (I'm talking about the Oklahoma City/Dell City/Midwest City area. And this is back in 1991/92... may have gotten better since then) just driving along pulling cars out of the ditch. You could probably just follow the same guy to work and make $100 bucks off of him pulling him out of the ditch all 5 times he drove into the damn thing because he refused to take his foot off of the gas pedal.

Funniest thing I've ever seen! :D

Registered and insured it today. Gonna take it to the shop for the once over and some tires/oil change this week. super psyched to get this thing going.

I am on the other-side with a Harley.

Unfortunately, I am at college and do not have a place for the bike to be stored inside, so its at home sitting in the garage.
