Re-flash DC 2.08.1??

When I was trying to clear the battery stats, I accidentally cleared the apu mismatches or something of that nature and now when I send texts, the contacts picture won't show up.

My question is, can I just re-flash DC 2.08.1 and see if that fixes it? It won't change any of my settings will it?

do a nandroid backup to save the current state and then just reflash the dc rom over it to see if it fixes the problem

What if I do a wipe and re-flash DC 2.08.1? Think that would work?
