Help re screen on droid incredible

i did a search and could not find the answer. on the incredible my screen will not turn off when not in use. It does dim (i have it set to 30 seconds) but the only way it blacks out is if i press the power button quick.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

make sure you dont have any apps running. some disable the screen from turning off. i use task killer every time im done using my phone

i just tried it that didnt work. its like if i dont press the power button the screen will not go off.

Settings > Sound & Display > Screen Timeout

There isn't a Never option but maybe you have it set to 30min or something??
