Help Read please

I have the Samsung droid charge, previously owning the Motorola droid.
My dad is a huge nerd and he was telling me about rooting and all of that crazy shit. the only experience i have with anything of that kind is jail breaking my iPods.

But my main question for anyone who could help me out is that if i were to root my charge would i be able to run htc sense on it?

I'm just tired of the little kid look that Samsung offers you and all the homes that are available on the market just aren't appealing to me anymore so i wanna change the whole look out of my phone. Cause lets face it everyone gets bored of their phone after a while.

Before you start rooting, you can try changing launchers on your phone for the looks.

Launchers such as ADW or Launcher pro has a lot of nice themes in the market.
