I hate read receipts. I really do. I believe I've figured out how to not automatically send read receipts to others who request them (Messages+, settings, Send Read Receipts unchecked). However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to not get notified when someone else has read a text that I sent them.
I really do NOT want to know when someone's read a text of mine and hasn't replied yet - it makes me incredibly anxious. Worst of all, sometimes I'll even get a little pop up notification in the middle of doing something else on my office that Person McPerson has read your message. Wow. Thanks phone, really helping the anxiety out here.
tl;dr How do I not send read receipt requests in my texts? Alternatively, can I turn off those horrible black fadeaway pop up notifications that my text has been read by the party I sent it to?
