Help read/write permission

Hi all

I have rooted my sgs2 but when I try to change any of the .prop or move any files within the system i am unable to do it. i read somewhere on the forums that I need to enable the read/write permissions for the system.
Anyone know how I do this?

Depends what file manager you are using but its usually a button or option saying mount r/w.

I used es explorer and the settings are in there for anyone else having problems
