Ready to Give Up!

I have had two Galaxy Nexus phones so far. The first one I traded in because I was having CONSTANT issues with the front speaker crackling, which is a common issue based off of search results I've looked into. This second phone is doing the same exact thing but on an even more regular basis. When I plug headphones in, the crackling goes on for as long as I have the headphones in. Even if I have the phone on silent and it starts ringing, I turn around to find it because I can hear crackling from it. I also have issues with people's voices getting really high and completely not understandable in the middle of a conversation. I called the Verizon rep the other day and she couldn't hear me...I was screaming into the phone. I've had these same issues with both phones, and other family members have had nearly identical problems with their newer Android phones as well. I'm close to getting ready to give up on Android. I feel like if a phone costs $600 new, it should be absolutely amazing and not having these problems. I've had a ton of problems with other Android phones I've had as well. I have never ever had an Apple phone before but am getting so tempted after myself and my family having the same issues over and over again with Android phones!

Sorry to hear that your having issues. I understand how frustrating it can be. If you feel as though you want to give the Iphone a try then by all means go for it. You won't get any krap from me. You should use the phone that makes you the happiest no matter what phone that is.

Sorry you are having issues with your phone but these things will happen with the mass production of phones being produce daily. If you feel you have reach the boiling point with your phone I would say try something new or keep replacing it till you get a problem free phone.

Yea man...that stinks! I went through 2 and the 3rd one was on the money! Made me really love this phone to be honest.

But like Trophy said, do what makes ya happy man! I'd stay away from the 4S since were not that far off from the next iPhone...And I'd probably opt for the Razr Maxx to be honest if I was going to move away from the Nexus.

I'm on my fourth and its perfect. The three prior to this one were nowhere near it. So, if you have it in you.....I'd try once more. If not, maybe the Rezound would be a nice choice for you. Having taken on the Gnex after owning the Iphone 3G, 3GS, 4, and 4S....I'd be hesitant in moving over from android my friend ;)

to those of you that have had multiple devices and now you have one that works for you. I'm just curious for myself.

What were the issues with the previous devices and are they all resolved now in the current one you have? Thanks.

example...was the signal the same on all of them? was battery life better on one versus the others?

Fourth!? What was wrong with the others?

My first ones battery was lasting two hours with everything off and half brightness.

Second one had a number of problems wouldn't download apps, screen would flicker, was rebooting itself, web pages wouldn't load on 3g and wifi + more.

Third phone perfect :D

From what I remember, that was one of the problems they were experiencing when they first came out in Europe. I haven't experienced any crackling at all, though I feel the sound quality is mediocre. I'm extremely happy with my phone, having only a few problems, most of which were from apps that I installed. I don't like how slow the screen shift is though, sometimes takes 5 seconds to shift a 90.
