I have a serious issue.
I just got a tablet- a decent one by all accounts. It's a Chinese one, a Teclast P88.
The reviews are OK and plenty of people here in China use it (I live in China).
Here's the issue- I booted it up and guess what?
The Virtual Keyboard doesn't come up.
In any language.
No matter how many times I reboot it.
I thought to myself, no problem. I'll try to install a different Keyboard app on it.
However, obviously the store is off limits (I can't sign in, let alone search for a particular app), so I decided to install one from a .apk file. However, I just found outr that there's also no file manager, so I can't find the file to install it! Help!
Thanks,
Paul

Good stuff, Rev! :)

Also, sometimes long- or short-pressing an input field will bring-up the soft keyboard.

Also, some apps will allow the keyboard to be launched from pressing the menu button / key.
