Root really crappy 3g & 4g speeds...update radios?

ok so I'm rooted, s-off'd, hboot 1.50.5050, and running Dirty Unicorns 4.2.2 and am experiencing very slow 3g & 4g speeds & wanted to know how to go about updating the radios. I haven't tried doing this before so detailed help would be great!






P.S. Even while I was running Mobster HD before flashing Dirty Unicorns I had the same problem : -/
 
-___- when u said recent I thought u actually meant "recent"...I applied both of those u speak of when they came across, but since then no I haven't had any more OTA updates...
 
Switch to the radio that ends in . 530 it was the best one overall after my tests.

There is also the. 808 radio which is good for penetration.

So I highly recommend the . 530 radio. :)
 
You know the gurus in here spent a tremendous amount of time preparing guides for ppl like you and I. The least you can do is pay your respects by reading them. Then ask for help when you overthink it because invariably that's all the goes wrong with these great guides.

I looked and couldn't find any that's why i asked... The least you could do is point me in the right direction!!!
 
ppl used to be VERY helpful on here, don't know what happened. All this forum seems to be good for now is giving smart-ass answers to those seeking help

People still are very helpful here, why you say that?

Just give it time, people are not in here 24/7 they have stuff to do also.

just give it a bit more, and you will see someone come and point you in the right direction, they have done it in other posts you made here :)
 
u r right xplopr, I didn't mean that... I'm just frustrated...this just makes the 3rd time TODAY I've had someone get smart with me when I'm just asking for help. If u have NOTHING to offer just leave the thread, why stick around only to be rude??? I don't understand how that is supposed to help
 
There use to be threads in the sticky section, about radios and stuff, let me see if i find leslie anns thread about how to flash radios.
 
I looked thru a few pages of threads earlier before even posting & found one explaining what radios are & why u may need to update them but couldn't find any on "how to"
 
You can start with this thread for most questions, and it's the only sticky in this forum. Do a search on that page (ctrl-f in most browsers) for what you are looking for ("radio" in this case), then if you can't find what you need post in a related existing thread or a new one if you can't find any (use advanced search for the forum and then search thread titles only).

For people that provide assistance in these forums every day it does get frustrating when the basic search tools aren't utilized and some people just want the answers handed to them. "I'm a newbie so walk me through it" doesn't cut it as we've all been there at one time and most of us didn't expect that kind of assistance when we were.
