Really? HTC still has not solved the light leakage issue?

Did anyone else notice in the HTC Sensation review (4th paragraph) that light leakage was found near the capacitive keys?

HTC Sensation review -- Engadget

If it is true that the EVO 3D will also have this screen/attachment method, I must say that I am disappointed. I was one of the unlucky few who had a significant problem with light leakage and screen lifting on my EVO 4G.

For those who have researched the 3D heavily, have you come across any information that indicates that this issue has actually been resolved and how?

I think the different exterior builds of the two phones doesn't necessarily mean there will be light leakage on the E3D. Until reviews start to be shown, I don't think this is something to worry about. In the videos I have seen of the E3D, I did not notice any light leakage, nor do I remember any hands-on folks saying something about it.

Admittedly, I might have missed something, but I have seen most of the vids out on the phone.

I hope not. I got a launch day EVO, and it has significant light leakage, as well as ghost touches on the screen. I got it at Radioshack and they would not let me replace it.

I like HTC phones but their build quality is sometimes lacking. Although part of me really wants to get the EVO3D at launch I think I'll wait to make sure any issues are ironed out.

Hey Earl, Where does light leakage rank on the Officially Sanctioned Gossip List?

I'm thinking the International Gossip Directorate, Unhappiness Subgroup #13 might have to call a special session to make a decision.
:D
