Is there a free app that will reboot the phone without having root access??

Not sure on the hero, but on my G1 you hold the power button till list pops up. I gives the option to reboot or power off.

You can just power off wait a sec or 2 and restart.

yeah same on my hero, but idk i was just wondering if there was an app where you can just tap it and the phone reboots but thanks anyways

I think you HAVE to have root access - If you decide to root your phone then "Quick Boot" from the market is quite handy.
