Help Reboot LOOP emergency!

My wife's phone is now stuck in a rebooting loop....!!

I cant even get it to the point where i can activate the power/volume factory reset technique...

I get the white htc evo screen, then the sprint "jingle" then it reboots again!!!

I think this is what was powering down her phone to begin with..

I tried three battery pulls and no go...


please help!

she is unrooted...

phone is about to be a paperweight i am afraid

ok, so only a few minutes later and i was able to catchit in time to reboot with power button/voulme down, and clear the data,

but after it rebooted on its own, it is still looping again!!!

ugh!
8 month old phone, no insurance, i think we are screwed!

The random reboot or powerloop, as some techs call it, has infected my phone, and we've tried everything suggested on the forums to get it to start. This is obviously a serious problem with HTC's EVO product. My service guy at the Sprint Store said there is no fix he knows of, and all units that he's seen so far have been sent in, and sometimes owners are without their precious phone for days and days. There are other horror stories of returned phones and the problem not fixed. My phone won't even get past the first screen. I've tried everything on the boot menu, and nothing has worked. I might try putting the phone in the fridge next. Maybe a change in the internal humidity will do something. What do I have to lose? The phone is useless. Judging by the number of problems recorded on these forums, we should be contacting a lawyer for a class-action against HTC. I'm totally game. This is a hot mess. HTC could lose a lot of good will, good press and good customers if they don't step up and fix this problem. They've got to be aware of it.
