If on Version B or C(or the new C) it does not seem to matter. My phone was manufactured 10/2011 and I have never had any rebooting issues. Have spoke with some with a manufacture date of 01/2012 and they have the issue.
Permanent corrections can only be made on the LG side with a firmware release.
Could root and try a different ROM to see if it tames the rebooting some. Just an idea

I've tried everything on my phone. I recently froze Facebook, and haven't rebooted in 35 hours. In my opinion, if a phone can't run Facebook, it's defective. Metro will replace the phone for the reboot issue. If you've had it less than 30, it's free. Picking mine up tomorrow.

Try uninstalling Facebook app. See if you get some reboot

I installed gingersteem about a week or so back. No more reboots. Knock on sheetrock Your best bet is venture around, seems some people had luck with certain things but this seemed to clear it. Im on the b ver. btw. And yes theres a way in things rooted to go back to b from c

Wow, how prevalent is this problem? I have an Indulge that does this, I was hoping for some improvement on the Esteem. I'm disappointed to hear that it seems to have the same issue...

Sadly you will see issues with "every" single phone in planet earth. as of now, there doesn't exist a perfect phone where you never see problems at all. Be aware that just because some people are having issue, doesnt mean the rest of them are going to have it as well. No no, the esteem is yet the best phone for metro ATM. Right now these problem has been possibly resolved for good. If you have any problem as you may know, we are happy to assist you with anything!!!
