Root rebooting problems

ok so i need some help here. i successfully rooted my evo awhile ago and have had no issues with it. well now i bought my wife the epic 4g i rooted it and have installed genocide 2.0 and emerald fury with the urban serenity theme. since i have installed the rom and theme the phone will constantly reboot after a few mins. on a side note this phone isnt even activated yet, im trying to set it up so i can get it set then activate it. anyone have any ideas the help is much appreciated and ty in advance
 
Try wiping everything 3x's and flash the rom again. If that dont work redownload the rom, make sure what the file size says on the server matches what you get for a final download. Btw, i am running this same exact setup so i know it works fine.

I have seen a few with similar issues and a fresh dl cured their ills. Mediafire(i believe that who he is using for the time being) gets glitchy when their servers get busy. I will be looking forward to see what happens.
 
ok so i didnt get to do it today since im at work and forget to bring the phone with me. but i do have a question. i used one click root and it installed clockwork mod 2.5.5. will that rom run on that version of cw or do i need 3.0?

You can use 2.5 but i would suggest upgrading to cwm 3.1.0.1. It allows for either rfs or ext4 roms without having to flash a zip to go from one to another. Plus its suppose to cut down dramatically the number of bad flashes. Any questions feel free to ask here or pm me.
 
ok so i changed to cw3 and then took your advice for getting the rom and theme to work. it all worked no prob but when i went to activate it i kept getting error code 67 for no data. so now i have to unroot it and bring it back to sprint lol. ty for the help now i know what to do for next time.
