Rebooting Solved, New update looks solid

My phone is still shit after i did a complete unroot and stock reflash and did this update. rebooting like shit. gotta wait 5 ****ing days for a replacement so i can send it back once it breaks too.
 
Funny, wi-fi hotspot is gone..why didn't they include that in the list of changes or fixes when describing the update? Hmmm, sneaky f****s lol.
 
Anyone in the Chicago area notice a drop in 4G ? After the recent update I'm getting 1 to 2 bars where I normally had full strength and its switching between 3g / 1x and 4G all the time now.. I think I may have noticed a difference in the signal strength before updating, so it may not be relative to the update but its getting on my nerves now. The 4G radio is the only reason I chose this phone over the incredible 2 and up until the last 2 days it was crazy fast and very reliable.. not sure what happened .. I Live in the Chicago south suburbs
 
It actually fixed the rebooting issue for me, it was driving me crazy randomly rebooting at the least 3x's a day but usually more.
 
My phone rarely if ever reboots when in 3G. Now that I'm in a 4G area, it has rebooted 3 times in the last 2 days.
HOW can I get the new update?

On any home screens
Menu
Settings
Software Update

Make sure your battery is fully charged. Be patient as it reboots a few times during the updating process.

I've tried that process several times. It always says "No new software update available". I have not rooted the phone.

Seems like the update is being pushed out still. A friend of mine just got it today, and others on this board are slowly getting it or still waiting. Give it some time.

Or try the trick of removing your battery cover so your signal goes to 1X, then check for update again.
 
I have tried to updated mine several times. I always get a "ERROR SERVICE UNAVAILABLE" message. I have tried at different times of the day, it makes no difference.
 
Lost my 4G since the update was applied. Even when the phone shows full bars of LTE the traffic arrows on the left won't move and if try to access the internet it says "CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTIONS" so for me the update screwed up my phone, I now have a replacement on the way !!!
 
I'm on day 2 with the update and just had a random reboot. Hope htis doesn't keep up, mine was pretty solid with the previous update. Random reboots were maybe 2 - 3 a month.
 
Torn on whether to upgrade or not. I am still on the original software from launch and have very little problem. Would like for GPS to be fixed, but don't use it all that much.

This new upgrade sounds better, but seems like results are hit and miss...
 
I updated at 8:01PM EST the day of the update (though it didn't finish until around 8:20). I haven't had a single reboot since, and the phone's been on day and night continuously. GPS lock was a bit frustrating before--sometimes taking a full minute or two to get a lock. Now it locks within 3 seconds.

I used to see a reboot every couple of days, which is actually on-par with my previous Droid Incredible (both stock ROMs)

I wasn't one of the people experiencing Blackberry Storm-like reboot problems, where you'd want to throw the phone out the window, then go retrieve it just so you could throw it out again and stomp on it, LOL.

I downloaded the leaked version, when the phones on vibrate, it does NOT vibrate during text messages.

Will my phone receive the update OTA even though I have the leaked version? Are they the same thing? Should I wipe the phone to get rid of the leaked MR2 I downloaded?

Any help is appreciated.

I'd recommend clearing the cache for messaging and see what happens, or do a few batt pulls. It might be best to try and remove the MR-2 and try your luck after the update.
 
My third random reboot after MR2.
Before the update I had ZERO...
I just don't get it, I really don't. I was on the phone and it just randomly rebooted in the middle of the call.
No I don't have a million apps installed, it is stock. I don't understand.
 
That is strange. After the MR1 I had a lot of random reboots. They werent too random though as they consistently happened at work. Never at home.

After the MR2, not a single reboot. Launch day Bolt, 3G.
