Root rebooting when trying to install apps

I swear I feel like a noob.
I just tried installing UD1 (going back from UD2) and CM6.1-RC4

Every time the market tries to reinstall anything the entire system reboots
every time i try to install anything from Titanium the entire system reboots

this is happening with both roms
the only other thread i can find with this problem is here:

i easily flash a different rom every week since i got this phone last November and never ran into this issue.
Has anyone seen anything like this?

i havent heard of anything like this but i hope you get your problem solved and not lost here in the forum.

I think I figured it out.
I used titanium to create an update.zip for restoring itself. It seems that my problem was related to that.
I was restoring it as a user app, I switched it to a system app and the issue resolved itself.
