Help Receiving SMS overseas/Data Roaming OFF

Hey Guys,

I hope someone can help me with this, since searching has not yielded any help.

I am overseas with my DHD and continue to receieve SMS messages even though I turned data roaming off. I know I am being charged for this and now I am too afraid of turning the phone back on.

I just want to use it for wireless and downloading some new apps, without phone calls or messaging.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

SMS messages don't use data they are sent through GSM (think about it we have had SMS messages since phones 1st came out before all this data stuff was around).

If you are from the UK then when abroad it is free to receive SMS messages, I can't speak for other countries.
