had it since release date. us version att. since this year is been bugging up.

PROBLEMS THAT ARE HAPPENING :

1. would restart its self out of no where sometimes and i wasnt even doing anything that would put heavy cpu. just normal web browsing and texting.

2. gets leggy sometimes when im multi tasking switching between apps.

3. vibration notification (calls, sms, email, other apps) stops working sometimes out of no where. the settings are all correct when using the rocker to put on silent or vibrate. it vibrates then saying its on vibrate but no vibration notifications it only works again if restarted the device

3. bottom of phone gets really hot sometimes when playing games not even heavy graphic games i played angry birds and it also happen.

4. image flicker/flash issue, randomly when i switch between apps one of my wallpapers in my gallery would flash up on the screen for few seconds. its really hard to explain. i tried to delete the photo as well and restart the device. still happens.

5. my home button is hardly working anymore i find my self pushing down on it quite hard.

any one have any solutions other than factory reset or getting a new phone. because i dont have warranty and dont want to reset. thinking about the gn3 as well.

Try that then mate
EDIT dont think yot can clear Dalvik un-rooted but clear Cache Partition
Other than that, i suggest a factory reset if it doesnt help. Have you ever reset the phone since it got Jellybean?
The heat thing is normal and thats where it gets hot on the s3
The home button could be a mechanical (physical) problem and using the warranty while you still have one (why do u think u dont have one?) might be best option there

Ah, you are correct funky:) I just booted my wife's Note2 into recovery and there is no dalvik-cache option :o Hers is not rooted, so only the cache wipe is there (among other stuff but not dalvik) :)

just cleared Cache Partition. not long ago i still have this bizarre image flicker issue. like i said its hard to explain but it started doing that when i installed go locker. i uninstalled it once it started happening.

notification vibration works at the moment and hopefully wont run into any random reboots.

Id try a factory reset tbh mate. I know how much of a PITA it is though. is home button any better?
Why do you think the phone isnt under warranty btw? Even if its second-hand, doesnt samsung use the IMEI code to see how old it is and their warranty is for a year (outside Europe) ?

the home button is probably the button its self because it dosent even click any more. i never got warranty. it costed to much with the total of my phone.

Youre thinking of insurance mate. What country are you in? Every electronic product has a length of time where its expected to work or the manufacturer HAS to raplace/fix it (warranty) if it wasnt caused by you damaging it.
My home button is fine and im a HEAVY user and ive had the phone since UK launch so if yours isnt working, Samsung have to fix it or replace the phone

ooh right. but there pains in the arse around here with warranty. they will make up anything to get away with out replacing it. like saying the home button problem is my fault. also any little scratch they wont take it.

Yeah so send it to Samsung, dont get the carrier involved. Its law and unless youve got the phone wet, they should definately replace something like a home button. Dont be put off by crap when you know the law is on your side for a change. After 12months of owning the phone, the warraty will be gone and youll have to pay for anything that goes wrong
