Help Reception Extremely Poor

I do not have the best reception at my business but wow the thunderbolt has been significantly worse than any blackberry or droid I have tried in the past. I only have 3g in my area and have disabled the 4g. I called verizon and sat on the phone with a tech that almost put me to sleep. They had no idea that there was any issues and opened a ticket so they would look into it...

Has anyone else had similar problems or any possible solutions? The switching from no data, 1x, 3x is extremely poor and I barely get any bars. The phone is pretty much useless if its going to be this bad.

Just had my phone next to a friends Motorola Droid 2 and her reception was -50db and mine was -100db. Her 3g download speed was 2.3mg and mine was .4mg. What gives?

Just like the folks that claim "bump" charging is giving them over a day of heavy use with a 1400mah battery with everything on, those same folks will state their db signal is equal in scale of similar "creative measurement". ;) :)

They probably get signal in submarines :)

We get it. You had a bad experience with the thunderbolt. Time to move on. No need to rag on other people's positive experience with the phone.

I have noticed the signal is a bit worse than my old Droid X - but I've decided it doesn't bother me a ton because I like the phone so much more.

Apparently it was an issue with the network and the 4g phones but was fixed on saturday. I did a factory reset today since everything was fixed by vzw and I get 3g all the time now.
